    Icon5 modding with rome tw and bi

    is there realy that much of a difference if i wanted to mod with rome total war not barbarian invasion.

    The only difference is that BI has some small advantages :

    - Schiltrom , Shieldwall , ...
    - Hordes
    - Units can swim

    But afaik , it doesn't have a phalanx formation , so you gotta sacrifice that

    If you have Alexander , i'd recommend that

    Phalanx formation is available, just not used in BI by CA simply because no units used it at the time. I remember testing it to see when I just found out about the EDU. Try adding it in the EDU to a spearman unit.

    Edit: This also makes it ideal for using the fs_s1_hoplite in DMB, using SigniferOne's Animation Pack. If you wish to use it in a public release, I believe you need to ask for permission. So you can have a classic hoplite, in the overhead formation with a shield wall, and Macedonians and Successors with phalanx.
