Default 6.2 Beta Irish Roster Changes

I'm not too crazy about all of the updated Irish Roster changes.. Does anybody know if the models and textures for the old roster are still buried in the 6.2 files. I would like to add Warrior Monks, Ridre and the first tier horse archers from 6.1 back into the mod.

    Cheers....

I haven't tried to play 6.2 but that doesn't sound nice. Ireland really had an unique roster, though it probably was Overpowered for the beginning/early middle of the game but it was really nice and unique.
Well even if they are not (they probably are included you can always take them from DLV 6.1 version (you can unpack to different directory, installer won't try to match it exactly to your M2TW directory or you can just use WINRAR to extract).

I'm investigating it now, Comparing EDU between 6.1 and 6.2

Just unpacked 6.0 so I could compare the files. It's not that some of the new unit textures aren't cool. There's just way too much heavy armor on some of the units.... They look very 'Un-Irish' and like you were saying, it kinda ruins the unique old school hit and run tactics you used to have to use with them....

I never found the old roster overpowered personally.... They don't even have militia Town Spearmen at the beginning of the game! But the new one looks like it is by the look of the units...At least for High and Late eras

I'm not aware of any changes to this rosta...

Maybe they've just been removed from the EDB somehow...

No, they are the same.... Is it possible that the custom battles use a different roster that the campaign?

Of course. You probably can't build many of those units because they are not listed in the EDB (just find an appropriate building and add them).

Oh, I see now. I think some of the Kingdoms Irish units are in the custom battles. That threw me. Actually, it scared the shite out of me! I was playing custom to see if there were some units from other factions that I could might work with Ireland... Basically some cool models for some fantasy units. I guess that's not a good idea!

My bad! When I compared the 6.0 files to 6.2 (EDU) They were just a little different.

Geez, my mod skills are really rusty, It's going to take me a couple of weeks to get up to speed.... But I'm having fun!
