Default Changing the Socket Bayonet models?

    Hey guys,

First of all, I apologise if this post seems ignorant but I have only just returned to playing E:TW, and I've read about the new programs created by modders to allow in-game models to be edited. Or at least I think that's what I've read, but I'm not really sure. Is it possible to modify the mesh models in-game by converting the variant_weighted_mesh models into those compatible with 3DSMAX, using the converter provided by KnightErrant?

If so, I was wondering if it would be possible to simply make a few changes to the socket bayonet models, to try and get rid of the ridiculously large 'ring' surrounding the barrel of the musket. Would I be able to do this using 3DSMAX? This is the only thing that bothers me visually in the game at the moment, as to me it just looks silly.

Unfortunately, this is exactly my problem...I have no idea where to find them.

So they haven't actually been found yet? Damn.
