Been playing a Sicilian campaign, expanding fairly slowly through the course of the game. Gotten to around 45 provinces by 1330, mostly by seizing africa, south spain, and Italy, as per a fairly usual course. However, I'm running into some really frustrating sieges against the Abbuyids. Their Tabardiriyya(sp?) infantrymen are proving exceedingly troublesome in siege battles, and I'm puzled as to why. Their stats are not impressive by any means, though the terrain and their stamina certainly plays a part. However, when they tear through dismounted hospitallers with half their unit left, I'm at a loss as to what the heck is going on. What makes these guys so powerful? And any advice on taking them down in siege assaults?
