Tips for Macedonia
Hi guys!
Diadochi: Total War is hand down the hardest mod on VH/VH I've ever played. I find battles ranging from medium to hard for me, while economy is from hard to very hard.
I usually play as Macedonia, so here is my question from more seniour and hard-core players: What kind of buildings do you build to keep your army strong but not go bankropt? Because if I play, I either have good economy and no army or a good army but no economy. Which settlements are vital fter I have taken mainland Greece and Epeiros and Byzantium? What is the list on how should I build building (Though I guess ports are very important n the Aegean)? And should I expand fast or slow? If I go fast I am at war with everyone and sometimes a ruined economy, but if I go slow Carthage usually ends up conquering Italy and Egypt and sends stack after stack against me.
So, any tips? I will post my campaign, cities, income and all that as time moves on.

I suggest quickly getting level 2 trade buildings. They will provide most of your income for the rest of the game. Ports will just multiply that bonus even further, but will backfire your economy when AI decides to blockade all your ports.

And which should be my main army recruitment grounds? I thought of Pella, but some military buildings decrease taxes. And Pella has mines.
Should I concentrate on Italy, the north or go into Asia Minor?

The direction you expand is completely for you to choose. You don't really need to build that many higher level barracks at first. That should come later when you have a strong economy.

Ok.
I'm asking this because I'm planning to do an AAR sometime soon.
