    Default Of Rebellious Generals/Family Members

I started my first SS campaign yesterday - Turks (VH/VH). Things were pretty bad at the start as I went broke despite the fact that I went for an economic build but that's understandable. I took over a few rebel settlements and my economy was up and going again. However, a new problem started. Just as the Knight Templars starting attacking me at Antoich, my Generals, Family Members as well as my Faction Heir started rebelling against me. All of them were administrators or governors in my cities across the empire...

How can I prevent this from happening?

    Thanks!

Does your faction leader have the Offensive To Nobles trait?

Damn, another trait I did not know about. How many traits are on this game?

Aah, he's got one worse than that.. I forgot to screenshot it but it says something to this effect: "is casing internal war". Gotta get him killed fast!

Also, how do I get my generals up to the level that will allow them to recruit Sipahis?

I think that there are (roughly) 60-100 trait lines for generals. Spies, assassins and diplomats have only few traits, princesses and priests just a bit more.

Spies and Assassins should get more ancillaries in my opinion...

Question: How exactly are they rebelling against you? I have never had this problem.

They become rebel generals, and (a big) part of their troops get lost and others become rebels like their general. And why you haven't had this problem is because your kings haven't had that trait mentioned above.

I think one of my kings did, I just decided not to take the chance and killed him immediately.

They're in my settlements but I can't move them .. Like some, I can move properly but others, I can move only 1 centimeter per turn. They're all still under my command (only 1 has become an enemy rebel)... I'll post some screenshots a bit later on. There are a LOT of them... Perhaps 8-9 out of a family of 20.

(I thought you meant "basic" rebellion.)
Weird. I've never heard about that.

If you dont want to kill your faction leader, getting him more chivalry can put an end to the rebellion (apparently because he's turned into a nice guy)

Would more dread work the same? To simply scare them back into line (I always wind up with dreaded faction leaders, too many assassins, executions and sacking of settlements...)

Only chivalry can bring you back from rebellion if memory serves. It's been a while since I looked through those triggers.

Ah well, I'd probably stop sacking settlements and executing prisoners (but my Caliph has 10 Authority so I'm fine )

Sacking settlements doesn't affect your general's chivalry I think. Occupying increases it and executing (or whatever it is) decreases.

Well sacking settlements increases dread which automatically decreases chivalry, doesn't it?

That's a bit rough, politically wise yet inspires civil war? And not like he has no authority, just no chivalry.

And that's the way it should be
