Just heard that line for his new movie, Gamer, while watching television. Doesn't even make sense.

The movie looks fun though.

Seriously, who cares. Running Man for the video game generation, whoopee....

it could have some fun action

I usually dont trust modern action movies to be good, this is not an exception.

Well, if you've seen Braveheart, you can imagine what he'd look like, even in the 18th century.

It's kind of annoying. They tried to make that line come across as cool, but it's a bit ridiculous.

ya, that line was dumb, but the movie still looks sweet. I mean, at least the idea is somewhat original.

I dont know of any other movie where gamers actually control a person.

So that makes this dystopian scenario where prisoners have to fight in a deadly game for entertainment of the masses original? As original as last year's movie maybe where Jason Statham had to participate in deadly races to regain his freedom? Original like that?

I wasn't aware of such a movie.

I've always wondered where the ACLU was in these distopian futures where prisoners can be used for blood sports. I'm pretty sure televised death by high explosives counts as cruel and unusual...

I think it's stupid. When I first saw it I thought it'd just be about a bunch of kids in the "future" playing a VR game, I figured it'd be gruesome but mostly campy and fun, maybe even throw in a few gamer jokes ("You in spawn camper! shut up newb!") etc, I was hoping to see some light-hearted boyish fantasy fun

but nooooo hollywoods all like "aww man we can make this super awesome epic extreme! its like like like a big sort of evil conspiracy, and the prisoners are slaves! and the only way out is this ridiculous gauntlet of that no one could ever best, BUT THEN WE SEND IN THE WHITE PROTAGONIST WHO IS LIKE AN ULTRA KILLING MACHINE AND HE TOTALLY DOES IT.. but hes doing it because he just wants to see his family! thats something new! AND WE'LL THROW IN A BLACK GUY!"
