Have you tried to uninstall and install everything from scratch? Or trouble shoot in the bug part of the forum? As I had the same problem when I first started but now it is working wonderfully till now. ( Unless I go home now and ll start getting ctds all the time lol)

Though indeed this is the best mod ever created. I would never play another mod if not very historically accurate.

Can you describe the CTDs you are encountering? Right after a battle, during a battle, during the transition between turns, or whenever?

I myself had got CTDs so much that I have to save at every turn .The reasons for CTDs are variaty, but there are some way to avoid it. I dont remember quite well where I read it, so I cant give you the exact link. But these are the ways I use to reduce crash:
    1. After right click (attack) at enemy in campaign map ,wait a bit before actually go to battle map. If you autoresolve, you dont need to wait. The purpose of that is to avoid CTDs before battle. Give your computer some time to adjust changes
    2. The same for after battles. Wait a bit before click "ok" to return to campaign map. Some say wait 10-20 seconds, some say wait til the music end...Well, I find it depend on player's computer .I myself wait after music a bit more time
(Waiting is not that boring. In waiting before battle, I watch UI card to entertain..also getting more knowledge .After battle I view close to my troops. It's fun ,after all. No need to rush)
Oh, I forgot. You can go to bug section to see whether your problem had already been answered there. Good luck ,bro

    May be, I'm not sure
Uninstall everything about EB and reinstall EB from scratch, if that help
Oh, since you have installed RS, RTW has been changed, you cant play other mods .
Talking 'bout RS, I like RS campaign map texture and their roman skins, so I add them to my EB. It worked without CTDs. Everyone can play EB with something come from others mods Work for me

I always play with backups of the last 12 turns. I used to name them with just the numbers 1-12 but recently I decided to add a spot of education into this and I named them 1Ver, 2Aestas, 3Autumnus, 4Heims and so on

I always make such backups because I've had more than a few campaigns in other mods ruined because one of the AI causes a CTD while taking his own turn. It feels very stupid when you don't have a backup save from an earlier point in such cases

I have to congratulate the team, for I haven't encountered such type of a CTD in EB yet (and my campaign is currently in 165 BC, that's over 400 turns). I have had CTDs during the loading of battles, but these usually don't repeat themselves the next time I start the game and load the same battle, no reboot required or anything, and once or twice when towns were rebelling to another faction. What surprised me more was that towns were actually able to rebel to other factions (rebel faction included) without a CTD occurring

The bottom line is: always keep backups of at least the past game year. "This software comes with no guarantees"

yes all things above is good to take into account, aswell it helps to have a good PC to run this game. EB is heavy. The campaing map has manny animations etc. its good to have a nice CPU and a good RAM. even ig you rig runs great high end games.
