Gondor
Rohan
Eriador
Dale
High Elves
Silvan Elves
Dwarves
Orcs Of The Misty Mountains
Isengard
Mordor
Harad
Rhun
Somebody has messed with the results!
None voted for the elves the poll has been set up by the damn elvsies!
Loool, both elven factions owned dwarves.
Heavy Armour.
Once you're used to run into arrow showers unharmed and kill 800Goblins with 100 Dwarves, theres no turning back
Nah, seriously. I don't know what it is but something has always kept me from playing Harad. Mumakhils are great and all but still....maybe i'm just not the light infantry + javelineer type dunno

Rohan should get more powerful cavalry. They should be number one on it.
But best lotr feeling factions are:
1.Gondor
2.Rohan
3.Mordor
4.Isegard
And the very last is:
Dwarves..
• Son of MasterBigAb; • Father of St. Polycarpe • Kahvipannu • Radboud • Mhaedros • GeMiNi][SaNDy •
• Flinn • UndyingNephalim • KAM 2150 • Charerg•
I'm enjoying playing as Rhun, they have a great starting point with a good economy and a balanced selection of units, I guess I'll try out Gondor or some Elves next to see what all the fuss is about.
Vanilla elves are not that different from other factions archers and infantry. If you want to play as elves that really feel like elves try using RR/RC. It makes them stand out in a big way.
ANTI ELVEN SQUAD TO THE RESCUE!
Elves suck...
Given enough armour, they do
That's the main thing i like about dwarves. Hundreds of Archers wasting their arrows on my Ironguard and they just keep on coming..
And we're not talking Peter Jackson style here. Arrows are limited. Once forced to melee, pretty elven faces get smashed

Last time i checked this was about the mod^^
It's hard to compare them lorewise. Of course dwarves wouldn't stand a chance against elves in woodland (unless they wear fullplate with metal faceplate - which didn't exist in middle earth until P.J. put it into the movies for teh shiny lookz) - but why should they? Theres no metal in the woods, so no need for dwarves to go or fight there.
Elves, on the other hand, would fail at besieging a dwarven mountain city. All the aim in the world won't help them, caged in a short & narrow hallway, exposed to close combat.
They might get 1-2 shots before the dwarves reach them, but wont hit any vital parts. There are shields in the lore world after all
Sadly it's been too long since i read the books, so i can't come up with some euphemistic "elves = autoaim"-quote myself, but i distantly remember that dwarves were depicted a lot more mythical than in the movies. E.g. being made from the stone they live in or something like that. Would make up for an interesting question if arrows would actually do much harm to them

The Dwarves breathe so loud...well, you know the rest.
