RTR Barbarian Invasion Problem

I'm having a problem installing the RTW/BI platinum verson. When I click on BI it takes me to the original campaign(RTR version)and I followed the instructions exactally. I have also tried the mod switch version and that didn't work. I probably screwed up but I don't know where. I would really appreciate the help.

Is the installer placing shortcuts to the mod on your desktop? It should have done. They'll be called RTRPE (will use 1.5 engine) and BI-RTRPE (will use 1.6 engine). You need to use these shortcuts to launch RTR.

In your "Rome - Total War" folder, is there a folder called RTR (or RTRPE or something like that.. can't remember the exact name)?

To play with BI you need to start the game via the RTRPE BI desktop shortcut. Also, playing RTRPE with the BI executable doesn`t change the campaign or the units to be for the BI timeframe. It`s the exact same thing except that you take advantage of the supposedly better BI AI and will have access to some bi features like swim if I`m not mistaking. And that would be it.
