    Default shiny people

hi, the issue is that some units that wear cloth and therefore shouldnt be shiny (powerful laundry soap wasnt invented yet) are shiney coated as if they would be wearing metal armor.

example would be the Teutonic militias. i faintly remember reading about it and which graphics settings ease or solve the issue. forgot though and experimenting with the settings didnt grant me success yet.

any tips? rep for the helpful and condemnation for the unfriendly

Well the basic issue is that there is something wrong with the 'normal' textures (they add the shinyness). With vanilla units it can be 'fixed' by reverting to the original normal textures.

But the ideal would be for someone that knows about these normal textures to fix them. The look nice on metal, they just suck at cloth (I think it looks like lycra )... and they cause some kind of 'jaggy' effect on shields I notice.

I don't see this as a problem. I like my soldiers to have that little extra bling.

You can rid of the shine if you turn of "Bloom" in the Graphics settings, i think.

I'm not a big fan of the bloom effect either. And the 'reflections' look good on some models but horrible on others.
