Why is it that Carthage has to rely on other factions for temples that can upgrade weapons + armour and experience?

I'm not 100% positive, but I believe that's intended to represent Carthage's reliance on mercenaries.
But don't quote me. I haven't played Carthage since version 5.6![]()
Ok, not asking for it to be changed of course but it does put me at a disadvantage in my Carthage Campaign, and I could really do with so upgrades![]()
build blacksmiths
Africa has iron in Hadrumetum and Pselchis(egypt). Carthaginians also have iron in Aleria and if they advance in spain it can be found in Numantia and Tyde. Keep in mind you need a huge city to build a foundry so remember to promote growth in these provinces early.
Took Antioch from Selucids, the temple there when at Pantheon gives weapons and armour upgrades (they were recruiting gold troops from there), but having occupied it as the Romans it doesn't, how come?
Cause it is a culture bound temple. So it only gives it extra feature to the same culture. At least IIRC.
Capturing it with Macedon gives the same bonus. So i guess it is culture bound.
a rome has a roman culture. but that's a bit strange cause romans liked the greek culture very much.......
They liked it, copied much of it, but it was never the same.
I don't know exactly. the romans admired the greek culture, and they were probably influenced by the greek colonists who settled in Italy early on. they were also influenced by the Etruscs, but about their culture I don't know very much.
