It's an old bug you need to install the patches.
I have the patches installed though
The 1.1 patch should fix the white battle UI. Try this hotfix for 1.0, it was specifically made to resolve that bug but it was incorporated into the 1.1 patch, you could still try installing it separately: http://games.on.net/file/26068/Third...ar_1.0_hot_fix
Did you start a new campaign after installing the patches (if you were by any chance playing 1.0 earlier).
If the hotfix doesn't work all I can suggest is reinstalling tatw (maybe just the the patches).
I started a quick battle after reinstalling both patches last night and was still getting the problem.
I am using STEAM if that makes any difference. I installed everything in the mod folder like suggested in another thread and then did it again in the actual Third Age folder and it still did it. I will try that hot fix. I assume I need to install that directly into the TA folder.
Okay I installed the hotfix into my TA folder and it still did it. It also does it on the results window that pops up when I exit the battle.....
Just FYI I installed it all in my steamapps/common/M:TW2/mods and then in ...mods/TA because I wasn't sure if it should be in the mods folder as one thread says or in the actual TA folder.
I don't know if this means much but also on the loading screen it says TA 1.2
If you're using Steam did you follow these steps?

Although this pertains to starting the mods rather than any subsequent problems. Still, it could be important.
Yes the first time I installed everything into the "Mod" folder and it actually created a "mod" folder inside that folder. I just move the TA folder and everything it contained into the original "Mod" folder and renamed it to one of the other mods and it worked like a charm. So far my only issue is this.
I'm going to try reinstalling all the patches and hot fixes into the "data" folder inside the TA folder. I am hoping that works, not sure though.
well that didn't fix it
Maybe something in these threads/posts will help you:

Most people who continued having the white UI bug (even after patches/fixes) say that reinstalling tatw (sometimes even more than once) managed to fix it for them. But don't mess with the install paths, everything has to be installed as described in the instructions.

Thank you!!! You are my hero. Deleting the file mentioned in that first thread worked
Not really sure what that file affects, hopefully not too much haha
Tbh I don't know what is that file related to but I don't think there'll be any negative consequences.
I'm glad it's finally working as it should though.![]()
