Can Anyone tell me the quality of the French Armies and Dutch Armies in the 1820's onwards and which one is better at that time?

Well in the 1820s both armies were composed of Napoleonic veterans. Many of France's generals were the same men who'd been Napoleon's Marshals. So france had the same high quality leadership. France was clearly the more powerful nation. Why do you ask?
Just curious, been interested in Military History of that time span.
Dutch commanders fought on both sides at Waterloo, many of them entered service of the new army after the war. Some of them were still fighting during the Belgian independence conflict.
The most experienced Dutch forces at that time, were the the KNIL formed by royal decree on 10 March 1830. They were experts at contra guerilla warfare.

Don't know much about the French, only that they had some difficulties with their eastern neighbours.![]()

"The future's uncertain And the end is always near."
After a brief read, it appears the Dutch and French armies briefly fought in 1831, during the Belgian revolution. The French, under Gerard (one of Bonaparte's generals) won.
The Dutch army was in decline after the Belgian Revolution though, by the 1880's the Belgian army was considered a lot more powerful than the Dutch one thanks to the industrialisation and subsequent modernization.
Some day I'll actually write all the reviews I keep promising...
