Thamis banned in German forum totalwar-zone.de

Mods: Please move this to an appropriate place, I wasn't sure where to post it since we don't have a general TW/CA discussion

Today, Thamis (Jan van der Crabben) posted a goodbye thread in the German forum totalwar-zone.de. I was lucky enough to get a look at the thread and reply to it before it was removed without a trace by the forum administration. Let me present you some facts, I'll try not to mingle them with personal statements:

- The forum was recently moved to a new server, as far as I know the reason for this was to save money for the administrator (a guy called Mick), a problem that the TWC admins know well

- The owner of the new server, called Peter Steinebach, is now the only moderator

- He appears to claim copyright ownership about posts made in the forum

- An "exile" forum has been opened by previous moderators and, apparently, Mick, on another German TW forum, totalwar-forum.de

- Thamis posted in that forum that he had been banned in the TWZ but his user account there does not show this

- In this exile forum, a user called Mick (and I think there's no sensible reason to assume that it's not the same person) is posting about threats with legal steps by Steinebach.

I just thought I'd let you guys know because the banning of a game developer for one of the games that the forum is about is of some general interest, even if just for laughs. If anyone here is a member of TWZ, take care.

Mod drama is always hilarious.

Still, it's a good that someone is finally clamping down on these Total War developers. I know it seems inhumane you don't keep the population strictly in check, you get lots of little Total War developers run round the countryside worrying sheep.

I fail to see why this is relevant whatsoever to ANY forum on the TWC. Who the

cares about some backwater german TWC fan site.

Ah, the disgruntled part in your nick has taken the lead again methinks. Although there is a distinct goaty component

I thought it at least good for a laugh, the relevance is in a CA dev being banned in a forum for one of their games.

I wish TWC would also ban CA dev's, and not unbanning them until they fixed their games.

I would care, if that person would start goose stepping over people's rights and use that board to spread his ideology, which is a combination of nationalism and something else.

I don't give a damn about the German site but every time I see the word "rights" brought up on this website I end up on the floor laughing.
