    Default Late era campaign

When I want to start a late campaign I press late campaign and directly next. But the teutonic etc. aren't playable. So I tried something else, I went to late campaign and pressed that late campaign thing, with the info etc. When I then press next the game will CTD. Is this a normal thing?

    Sorry for bad english

Which Stainless Steel version are you using?
If it's 6.1 or 6.0 for example, just make sure you have downloaded both two parts of SS that you find from King Kong's thread "Stainless Steel 6.1 released".
E: does everything else work fine?

Thats a unfixable bug. You just have to re-open Stainless Steel and click it first thing. The game will also CTD if you click to many factions when selecting a faction to play for the campaig, this does not effect custom battle faction selecting.

I think that the bug he has isn't this one. But I'm not 100% sure.

    Haha, that's excactly what happens

I'll try it now. But if i press late campaign and pres directly press next it starts at 1080AD. And when I go to late campaign and then select the late campaign thing it will just CTD every time.

Then it may not be the bug mentioned by Tibs above. Maybe you could download SS again or patch to 6.1 if you haven't it already?
I really haven't a clue what is it.Never heard about that kind of bug. You could also PM to King Kong.

This worked for me. But It crashes when i choose early campaign first and then go back and take late era campaign. Still It works if you take Late era Campaign first thing.

This crash is not avoidable, unfixable so to say. Just make your mind before choosing Early/Late and then go to the chosen one directly

This is not required, as I have SS 6.1 and Vista and it works almost perfectly even if I have the UAC turned on.

Then you are one of the lucky ones. UAC can cause mods to crash or just not work properly because the game doesn't know which copy of the files to use.

Funny. I've never understood that UAC can cause that bad problems. Thank you.

In many cases, the UAC problem depends on where you've installed the game. If you've installed it in the defaul C:\Program Files\whatever, then it could very easily cause problems for you. If you've installed it somewhere else, like C:\Games\stuff, then it probably won't be that much of an issue.

UAC carefully guards the Program Files folder. Ofcourse you could get lucky/unlucky either way.
