Not Working

Ok so i installed RTR platnium for my RTW Gold version, i installed in the "The Creative Assembly" section instead of Actision, but i don't know how to start the game as no desktop icon starts up or anything....weird

Will anyone help me? anyone at all....?

IIRC, RTR PE used to create the icons automatically, if you accepted it during the installation.
But if its only due to the missing shortcuts, you could simply create a new shortcut from the exe. wich your game is supposed to be played on ( RTW or BI ), and then adjust the target line by inserting the mod folder adress like this:
"C:\Program Files\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War\RomeTW-BI.exe" -nm -show_err -mod:RTR PE
