Can't recruit many units in army barracks...

Hi guys,

I am playing as the Byzantine Empire and I built up my 'army barracks'. But I cannot recruit Greek fire, or the greek arquebusiers or the Alamanoi from there. Infact I can't recruit anything past Byzantine Infantry. I am well past the gunpowder discovery notice. Its not a money problem. I just don't see those guys there to be available to recruit. Its not in a light colour or anything, these units aren't just there. Please help!! The Turks are attacking me constantly and I can't face them without better infantry and Greek fire.

Do you have RealRecruitment installed? If so, then you have to wait for certain events to happen before units become available for recruiting.

No I am just playing the 'vanilla' SS. Still not resolved .

Uninstall RR then and it should solve your problem .

Are you sure you didn't install RR when you installed SS6.1? Many people have without even thinking about it and then post asking why they cant recruit things
