    Default Iraqi Air Force disovered

Yes you read that right, in a stunning turn of events, the vaunted Iraqi Air Force has been discovered. Where you ask?! I'll take Serbia for 300 Alex. All joking aside, anyone know how far along the training of the Iraqi Air Force is?

Wow, he has parts of his military hidden everywhere in the world it seems. Soon we'll find an Iraqi Aircraft Carrier in Kansas.

Not even close. At it's height it didn't have more than a few dozen frigates and corvettes. We sunk most of them in Desert Storm. it's hardly worth mentioning as currently constituted, consisting of about 1500 sailors, 800 of which are marines tasked with defending key coastal structures especially the GOPLAT's.

    Take it easy,

Excellent lol, can you imagine their defence ministry at the time of the "discovery"? Must've been atleast one chap who was around at the time of the Iran/Iraq war who said "Ah yes, I forgot about those..."

Iraq also apparently has 100 Jets in Iran which were flown out before Desert Storm. Don't think they'll be getting those back anytime soon.

Now that's a surprise. Saddam had friendly relations with the Serbs.

Thank God, both of the evils are taken out.

Bloody Serbs. I sent my television off to Belgrade to get it repaired in 1988 and still haven't gotten it back.

As some are Mig-21's, should Iraq want them back?

I'd pick them instead of the 23's...

Appearantly highly upgraded MiG-21's (Bison) are very capable aircraft.
These will have few flight hours I guess.
    Miss me yet?

Hard to say what version they are. The Serbian facility will no doubt charge a small fortune for storing the jets, along with my television and your Grandmother's bicycle.

It's more probable that Serbs used the parts to repair their own Migs and now they are only useless junk.
Except that one which was in the museum. It's well preserved junk.

In a world of 4.5 and 5th generation fighters who would in their right mind be buying or introducing relict-class fighters?... They might as well be buying monoplanes and fit them with 50.cal guns.

well if you are a small 2nd/3rd world country and are surrounded by similar countries these aircraft would come in handy.

well, there are enough Mig 21s to see most modern fighters run out of ammo... maybe that's the plan?

Doesn't India still use Mig 21 in certain roles? If protected by other aircraft they might be still worth for simply delivering their payloads.
