Which version do you prefer? Personally, while I like the US version, I think it lacks the subtlety and bleak realism of the UK version. It's less moody and the whole mocumentary concept isn't as noticeable.

Ive only seen a couple episodes for the UK version, and I thought it was OK, same goes for the US version. But im just gonna go ahead and for US because Steve Carrells in it. God hes such an AWESOME actor.

UK for me.
Formerly Tiberias
I think the main opinion is that the UK version is far more realistic and that depressing mood and arkward situations of the UK office works better.
Despite being from the east side of the Atlantic, I prefer the US one. I just prefer the main characters of the US, it feels more compact. And I prefer the storyline of Jim and Pam then Tim and Dawn, even though I liked Tim far more then Jim

I prefer the UK Office. Watched all 6 episodes of the 1st Series on BBC 2 last night. I can't say much more then what the others have already pointed out
(Although it does seem we have one of these threads at least every month)
Under the Patronage of Jom!
Can I vote neither? Both rather bored me...
The UK version is, inevatibly, more true to the artisitc concept of the program. Therefore it is better art. The US version probably has better one liners and stuff, but who cares?
I think we need to get away from the idea that commedy is simply disposable entertainment. The Office picked up on (to use an oft misused word) the zeitgeist of many people in the anglophone world. That's far more important that how many gigles per second a program gets.
Both are great, in different ways.
The UK is a much better mockumentary and is more biting.
The US for its part has more engaging and memorable characters.
I like the US better because it's easier to watch and more likable.
for-profit death machine.
Never seen the UK version, but I really enjoy the US version. So I am not going to vote becuase I have nothing to compare the US version to.
"I have only two regrets: I didn't shoot Henry Clay and I didn't hang John C. Calhoun."- Andrew Jackson
Gervais and Carell are both genius' ... but i love the U.S series much more.

UK is always better. No exceptions.
R.I.P. God Save The King (2008-2013)
I love the original uk version. It has the power to make you cringe in ways that few other programmes do. Brent is an absolutely brilliant character, played perfectly by Gervais.
Also as a plus it has Martin Freeman in it, who has does that awesome despairing look.
I have to vote the UK one. It's just more cutting of the office workplace which i feel is the main aim of the program. The US one is good but I'm more conscious that I'm watching a comedy when watching it. Whilst the UK version could be believable as a documentary (at a push).
"You have a decent ear for notes
but you can't yet appreciate harmony."
Anyone who votes US does not know what the hell the whole concept is.
In some cases the remakes work, but in this case Original Knows Best.
I like pie.
