Default What minimod if this has the three roman factions?

That was probably my favorite part of Rome, racing against the clock to beat my italian brethren, but i heard its gone in this. Is there a mod for the mod that brings them back? if not, how could i do so? Is there an older version that does have all thew roman facions in it? Thanks for any help.

I unfortunately am pretty sure there is no version of RTR that has all three Roman Factions. The reason behind the change is that it is not realistic. Although there were different and powerful Roman families, none owned certain provinces and had their own army etc. They all belonged to Rome as a unified whole.

Res Gestae(completely different project) has all roman factions:

There was a mini mod for rtrpe that added all roman factions, but it stopped being updated since v1.6 or somewhere around that version and I don`t think it`s still available either.

Didn't they all follow the Senate though?

Senate=Rome. The Senate was the Government, and they controlled everything that the family members conquered. There were no separate factions that independently conquered territories. They were all one Republic that shared taxes, laws, etc. While family members eventually grew in power and fought each other in order to conquer the Republic and create an empire,(or defend the republic) the Roman Republic itself was never 3 entities, and the Roman Civil Wars happened after the time period in which RTR takes place, so having a civil war before this is unrealistic.

While this is an accurate summation of the situation in Rome prior to the First Triumvirate, Vanilla Rome does capture the very end of the Republic better (though still not well as the Scipii and Brutii were not part of either the First or Second Triumvirate). That being said, from 280bc to until about 60bc Rome was more or less united (not counting the social war at the begining of the 1st century or the civil war between Marius and Sulla soon thereafter). Trying to capture the basic unity of the Roman Republic as well as the numerous civil wars of the late Republic is no easy task and would definitely be a late game pain in the butt for any Roman player. Overall RTR probably takes the more accurate route as the idea of certain families de facto ruling parts of the Republic would be restricted to a very late game situation.

RTR doesn't use brutii, scipii and senate factions' rosters, so it is easier to revive roman factions than other mods.
If you can customize especially DMB and EDU faile and some others, it is possible to avail battle model and unit cards from other mods which has 4 Romans.
I prefer using AQD mod added Roman 4 factions with roman solders of ResGestae, because I like AQD`s battle balance.
If you like battle balance of normal RTRPE, it should be not so different from ResGestae's, so I will recommend RG which have interesting campaign map.

What do you think is better? Res Gestae or Res Belicae? Or are they pretty much two different mods?

I checked out the campaign map of RG and unfortunately I don't think I'd like it. So I am downloading RB right now.
