[HoI3] Any ways to stop LAG?
Hi,
i recently bought a copy of Hearts of Iron 3 it installed fine and and my system excedes the specs BUT ... i play a game and there is always quite a lot of Lag ! , it tried to change the settings up and down but with no affect , i installed the latest patch 1.1c ( if that helps that kind of thing ) and i also change the priority to realtime and none of this had any affect on the lag.
so is there anything i can do to stop it ?

yes i used the counters instead of sprites that helped a bit but there was still alot of lag

so they say... My answer to the question in the title? Don't play the game and wait for the patch (should come out in September), if the patch 1.2 solves any performance issues, good, if not then at least you didn't waste your time on an unpleasant gaming experience.do you think the lag will be sorted out by a patch ?

yes i think i will do that , wait for the patch probs play HOI2 again intil there is a 1.2 patch

Perhaps. EUIII was heavily lagging back to 1.1 patch.do you think the lag will be sorted out by a patch ?

indeed, there was a mention of of performance improvement in the checklist thread for the 1.2 patch, we'll just have to wait and see how the game will run then. (pdox dev team actually said that they bought themselves a quad core computer so presumably they WILL TRY to adress perf issues.)

Don't buy the checklies; wait until you actually test the patch by yourself.

just save and reload the game it stopped the lagging on my game.
I check into small hotel a few kilometers from Kiev. It is late. I am tired. I tell woman at desk I want a room. She tells me room number and give key. "But one more thing comrade; there is one room without number and always lock. Don't even peek in there." I take key and go to room to sleep. Night comes and I hear trickling of water. It comes from the room across. I cannot sleep so I open door. It is coming from room with no number. I pound on door. No response. I look in keyhole. I see nothing except red. Water still trickling. I go down to front desk to complain. "By the way who is in that room?" She look at me and begin to tell story. There was woman in there. Murdered by her husband. Skin all white, except her eyes, which were red. I tell her I don't give a. Stop the water trickling or give me refund. She gave me 100 ruble credit and free breakfast. Such is life in Moscow

1.2 patch is specifically stating that its going to fix the memory leaks now, problem solved

Good finaly i can play a campaign with out quiting in the first few minutes , btw does anyone one how to create an online account on hoi3 come i enter a name and pass word and it says 'bad username' every time i enter one even a different one , any idea's ???
