The links are dead, don't think any of the participants in that thread are active any more either.

Edit: torrented PDeR file now uploaded to mediafire, also see opening post.

Downloaded, installed, works like a charm. Thank you so much for going through all this trouble, Gigantus! Argh, I hate the fact I still can't +rep you!
I will post in the submod forum. Maybe someone who has the file sees this. If not, well, I can always try to make my own 1071 mod. Thanks again!

Just to let you know, Avast wouldn't allow PDeR1.0a.exe to start, so i had to add it as an exclusion.

Also (since no Edit button), do i need to get the hotfix too, or is it enough that i install the 1.0a ver?

The installer was made with an old version of the install creator that flags AVs occasionally, sorry about that. Installing 1.0a is sufficient as it includes the quickfix.

    Hello Gigantus!
Thank you again for keeping this classic available for so many years.
I am trying to open the mod folder with Geomod but it crashes at 79% loading and the geomod log is empty so I cannot trace the error.
Were you able to open it there at your end?

    Cheers

According to my Geomod manual 79% freeze is at the beginning of the descr_strat file. In nearly all cases this is a formatting issue with the trading resources listed there - most likely a missing or surplus comma or in rare cases a spelling error.
The easiest way to confirm and solve this is to remove all trading resource to see if the tool progresses further and then add the resources back in batches to locate the section(s) where the issue is.

I have been getting the above traits error when game is crashing. Any idea on what could I fix to make the mod work?

    Thanks again!

The errors are non fatal - the crash is nearly a minute after.

The missing text ones is a matter of adding the required text in data\text\export_vnvs
The 'can't find trigger' is a false positive - the trigger is right underneath the line in question

    Hi, Thank you for replying!

I am sorry but I didnt understand very well the false positive thing. Also, from what i posted, is there any idea what could be causing the game to crash?

    Cheers

Check the triggers in your edct file and see what needs to be changed.

'false positive' - an error that is not true. Like with the trigger error: the 'missing' trigger is literally right underneath it.

The log needs to be on trace to give any indication at all at what point the crash happened. One minute in log terms can be about a thousand lines or log entries.

    Hi,

I uploaded the latest system log after a crash. Would you be kind to have a look when you have time? I cant understand what could be the problem.

    Thank you

'dead' pictures suggests a possible 'becomesfactionleader' crash (leader and heir die in the same, final battle). The remedy for that is to delete all triggers in the EDCT file and then try again. Once you get past the crash exit, restore the original file and continue.
