Im going on a crusade to russia~ need some tips

Ok i download SS today and i downloaded the mod SS 6.2

Anyways the pope has called a crusade on vilinus , and im going to walk from spain to russia with my 21 year old general and his army.

But there is a problem (well i think there is) What about resources? if im right all my soldiers will die because of no food. what can i do against this??

You can resupply your army with ships. Purchase some merchant cogs when you get to the baltic and move the army on board and your supplies will replenish.

I have another question,

My king will die very soon, so i want to kill him in a battle , because i want one of the kings sons to became the new faction heir (his oldest brother will become king) because he got 3 daughters , they will become princesses

But when i let me new king die.

the son of the new king will become the faction heir !

i dont want that , is there any way (without having to kill that son) ?? to let that brother become the next faction heir??

Unfortunately, you will have to kill the heir so the brother can inherit the throne.

Caesar or Bane could address this question more thoroughly, though.

Not to high jack the thread here, guys. But could someone tell me how to get a trait called "Cohesive Fighting Unit"? I have seen some generals with it, yet I cannot figure out how to get it. I feel this question does not merit a new thread, so I'll just ask here if that is okay.

You cannot get this trait for your own generals. That trait is for AI generals only, in order to increase the challenge. The trait gives +3 Command, and +70 battle surgery. A quick search in the forum reveals plenty of post regarding this trait.

That's a hell of a long way to go all the way from spain, what strategic value will russia give you? I mean maybe some trade in the baltic, but I don't really think it will be worth the pain of conversion to Catholicism to the local populace, that and defending territory on two fronts, especially one that's so far away and cut off.

I never invade Russia anyway, but you could sell the territory to the Cumans, Poles or Kievans and see if you can start a nice big war to distract your Eastern enemies
