Basic Info
The main goal of this mod is to make the game more like the Middle Earth in the books. During the Third Age Middle Earth was covered in many different countries, and inhabited by many different races. Middle Earth was rather divided, and when Sauron rose again in the Third Age there was no organized effort to destroy him, unlike the Last Alliance. This is because many of the good countries were to worried about protecting their own borders against nearby threats to march off and destroy the new evil. One of the themes in the books was the whole unite or fall concept, which wasn't really portrayed well in Third Age Total War, since all the different races were already united into there own factions (Silvan Elves, Dwarves, High Elves, etc.), meaning that they weren't as divided as they were in the books. Although there was no open out warfare between the good countries, there were disagreements, and that made it hard for them to unify. I plan to fix that in this mod by putting the many factions that were in Middle Earth during the Third Age into the mod, along with changing the diplomatic system. In Middle Earth alliances seem to have been a very important thing, and nations would call upon their old allies when in need, so I plan on making it hard to gain another faction's trust but when you get they will follow you to the end. I also plan on changing the map, along with the rosters, and strat map animations for all the factions to make the game more like Middle Earth and less like the Medieval ages.
