Sallying out

I recently installed the ExRM mod onto my computer and in my opinion it greatly improves the original realism, but i have one small problem with the AI sallying out. For example I've been playing as rome- i get one of my armys to besiege a greek city- i think it's thermon, but not sure and then they sally out with the garrison. Everythings fine until i get to the battlemap- where for some reason the enemy soldiers just stay inside the city and don't move out, it's kind of annoying- i would rather they move instead of just standing there.

I don't know if this is just happening to me or if anybody else has had this problem, i was just wondering if anyone knew of anything i could do to fix this problem.

I had that as well at first. To solve it, simply set the battles to have a time limit.

Thanks for the help-I set the battles to have a time limit and although they still won't sally out at least the battle will eventually have an end now lol.
