UVW Mapping is the same for all models out there in computer games, and works in RTW the same as in Med2.

Basically UWV mapping is nothing other than applying textures to your model. Your model is composed of dots, "vertices", which construct the shape of your model at every point. In a UWV window you see all of those dots "unwrapped", lying flat, with a texture behind them. By moving those dots to the places on the texture, you change what portion of the texture displays in your actual model.

"If ye love wealth greater than liberty,
the tranquility of servitude greater than
the animating contest for freedom, go
home from us in peace. We seek not
your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch
down and lick the hand that feeds you,
and may posterity forget that ye were
    our countrymen."
