Faster Rifles
I've been trying to get modern style infantry, with high rates of fire (around 30 shots a minute). I've managed to get the light infantry behavior working well, and used the prone mod to allow that. By editing the number of pellets, I can even get a kind of burst fire. However, due to the animations, even the fastest infantry can only fire 12 shots a minute. I was wondering if anyone knows which animations I'd have to edit, where they are, and how I should change them (I'm thinking there must be some way of cutting out most of the movements, and maybe looping it so that it fires 10 times, then reloads). I'm using the ferguson animation, but got exactly the same results with the windbusche jager ones too. Thanks.

Re: Faster Rifles
This is a hard subject. You have to create a new projectile in the projectile tables or edit an existing one and you set the base_reload_time as low as possible. You now have super fast reloading units. But making them fire a couple times before reloading, I don't know.

Re: Faster Rifles
is it possible to use the animation for the breech loading units(ferguson rifles and winbsche jeagars) for this by just making them only reload once then they shoot.

Re: Faster Rifles
You don't have to alter the animations for that. You can change the base reload time in the projectile tables.

Re: Faster Rifles
Sorry to go OT here guys, but does anyone have the link to the "prone mod" mentioned in the OP?
