Problems with SAJ

I'm pretty excited to play this mod, but I've got a couple of problems to deal with. First off, the loading times are incredibly long, and after a battle it froze. Does this happen to many people or is it possibly a one off?

Also, even though minimal_UI is down as false in the preferences, the screen doesn't have the custom layout and a lot of icons are missing. How can I solve this? Cheers

Yes it can take a while to load, especially with the higher texture quality for units, plus the traits and ancillary files have become quite large (something similiar with EB).
