Problem Playing

Ok, here is my problem. I downloaded the mod, installed it, everything went just fine. Then I go to play a custum battle, and after choosing the units and beginning the battle, it merely goes back to the previous menu. Also, when I try to play the Imperial Campaign, it says "select and item from the list."

I am running vista, and am the administrator. I also tried playing the mod in admin mode, but to no avail. What can I do to fix this?

You can fix this by updating BI to v1.6. Follow this link to Rome Total War patch 1.6. The next version's installer will give the user an error if the BI / RTW version is incorrect.

DiadochiTW requires BI 1.6 or ALX 1.9

Sorry, I forgot to mention, I'm at version 1.5 for RTW and version 1.6 for RTW:BI. That was the first thing I checked. Should I just try re-installing? I already have once.

It works perfectly fine with BI 1.6, so there's obviously something wrong with your install. I suggest installing a clean version of Rome TW(1.0), then install BI(this patches RTW to 1.4) and then install the patch 1.6.

After that, install DiadochiTW v1.0 and the latest Patch.

I dont understand. I want to play this mod but wich DVD do you need? ROme? Barbarian nvasion ? ALexander? I dont know

Barbarian Invasion, but it is recomended that you have Alexander.

yes i have them installed but when i put BI in my Pc and i want to start this mod he
tells me to put the another Cd in.

If you have Alexander, then the mod automatically installs for Alexander - which means you will have to play with that only. There is no difference between BI DTW and ALX DTW feature wise. ALX is just better and less crashy.

Diadochi TW is a mod for Alexander, but I also included the ability to play with BI 1.6 and in the next version also with RTW 1.5.

ok and one more question. Do you need to installe BI or can i skip that and instal alexander and play the mod? ( maybe the stuppids question you have ever heard)
