Looks like everyone is trying to cash in on something that should have been a tragic incident in the Democratic Republic of Congo, but is quickly turning into a farce. Two Norwegian citizens, Tjostolv Moland and Joshua French, stand accused of murdering a Congolese cab driver in the middle of the jungle - the Norwegians claim they were only witnesses to an attempted robbery which left their driver dead and themselves on the run.
The men are accused of being spies for the Norwegian government (sent by King Harald V himself according to one attorney) hence the demand for $500 billion, which is about 3038 billion NOK. It's not only the Congolese government who are trying to cash in on the case, however; everyone from the two "witnesses" ($10 million each) and the driver's family ($17 million) to the guy who owned the car ($1 million) and the leader of the union the driver was a part of ($3 million) are trying to get paid.
