    Default How to make new fraction into an state that belong to another

    How do i add an new playable fraction into the grand campaign map.
    i have organized and agreed to help China mod, by adding China into one of the states e.g Afghanistan.
    i have units that are compatible with 1.0 Empire total war.
    i would need help with:
    First task is to convert it so its compatible with the newest Empire total war patch.
    Secondly adding it into the state replacing the Persian city with the Chinese invading forces. building tree, "Family tree"(if not possible i will use the old Persian or ottoman one instead) tech leave at it is before.

    then make city larger which i already saw another thread about how to make towns bigger.
    i have skins navy skins army skins ready. can some one get me started?

    You can do that by replacing an existing faction. You can choose an emergent or a minor faction like mysore, or knights of saint john, etc. The rest is just modding changes in startpos, db and localisation_loc files. Make your choice about the faction that will be replaced, prepare the material for the new faction and here we are for more help.

    hi Husserl .
    apparently with the china mod. developed by " shi98918 " China starts at Kashmir, already so my task hopfully trying to achieve is making it compatiable for the newiest version of empire totalwar, it is only compatiable for 1.0 ETW... what are the steps i need to take to change it ?

    That was an impressive work which should be in the released mod as soon as possible . For sure you have to change startpos.esf, db/units tables and technologies. Startpos.esf needs to be v. 1.3. Unites tables in v. 1.3 has just a couple of columns more (mp costs) and technologies one new column at the end. Also boot should be changed in the latest version. I am not sure for the other files. I tested just with these changes and it was playable with the language limitations (descriptions, etc.):

    hi husseler, if you are able are you able to send me the verison of mod with the changes youve made, i will try to change all chinese to English... i think i need an copy of the tats of only the newly added units , not hte one that is given to me . very messy with all chinese stats fromt he entire game... which i cant seem to find or extract what i wanted very easily..
    anyways if oyu can please send me the verison that you've worked on -that happen to work on 1.3..

    would you like to help china team out., the guy whjo made the game.. is very busy... he dosent even have time to make it compatible for the new one.. and he told me he wanted to concerntrate on skinning new troops.. i hope you can help us out..

    besides that..

    i knoticed that it works with mod manager.. but there is something wrong with the archers. they dont seem to move proerply.. when you move them, the legs.. dont move.... all you can hear is the marching sound.. not only that at some parts of the map they desapear.. do you know why? that happens?
    and how to fix that..
