My dream custom maps

This game would be complete for me if you could select any battlefield on the campaign map and play it as a custom battle.
during the campaign when a battle is initiated,the game generates the battlefield depending on where the battle is to take place and I would love to have a world map and be able to click on a certain area and then battle on it while being able to select different factions and everything else you can set on custom battles.
how hard do you think this would be to implement into a mod of some kind?

I would only like to see more custom maps and more options for the map like they did in Rome and Med2.

I am actually a little surprised at the few battle map choices that shipped with this game. It's truly a shame because they are quite nice, but they get VERY repetitive.
