Additional question(s) of a SPQR-novice
Hello Forum,
In spite of your proposals for solution my display furthermore momentarily “jumps back” to my desktop or a black screen while loading e.g. a battle. I hope this do not cause any harm to my laptop.
I have two further questions:
- Since I´m living in Germany and therefore own the German version of the RTW original game or rather patched the game with the 1.3 German patch (since I had constant problems by extracting the ZIP-file of the English version) and the German-language-install of the 1.5 patch, is it normal that the description on the unit cards is a mix of German and English? The detailed description of the units´ abilities is German (5-7 abilities), the abstract of the units´ abilities is in English (3-4 abilities) and the historical context is also in English. The same applies to the settlements (e.g. “Kleinstadt” instead of “small town”) Does this negatively effect the process of my game?
- Is there any possibility for an improved highlightning of the units on the battlefield… just for better overview ?!
Thank you for your answers,
Regards
Marcel

Re: Additional question(s) of a SPQR-novice
Ok, regarding my second question I learned that I can activate the green arrow-markers in the preference-text... or is this also possible under "Options" in the game?
But please advise if there are any game-crushing discrepancies between a German original game (with German patch 1.3 and patch 1.5 with German language option) and SPQR. The English-German mixture in the unit/building/town descriptions are confusing and therefore I worry about a CTD sooner or later.

Marcel

Never heard about any crashing regarding the language problems you should be fine, but if you experience them, please tell us.
And about the highlighting, its more fun without it, who doesnt love chaos!

Re: Additional question(s) of a SPQR-novice
Thank you for your relative appeasing replies. In most cases I´m pinched for time and I only manage to fight 1 or 2 battles during the AI-turn; the remaining battles have to be postponed to a later point of time or even the next day and, thus, such saves during the AI-turn are essential for my game.
