    Default Great Mod

This mod looks awesome to say the least. I'm a big LOTR fan and this looks like a good mod. What's it like? Is it just a normal Campaign just with LOTR theme? What are some really unique things? What are some some of the annoying things? You have a bunch of factions. Is it like FoL and FoD(Forces of light and darkenss) with several factions going for a general goal or is it evey man for himself?

Check out my cartoons about the E:TW Artificial "Intelligence" in the RAGE!!! thread:
    - Suicidal Minors.
    - The three-party-Free-for-all war.
    - The AI's favorite get-rich-quick scheme.
    - Whac-A-Raider.

I understand but the preview factions are mostly SSs. And It's a little easier asking a couple simple questions that are hard to find in topics that are over 50 pages.

Ok. I love in this mod the uniqueness of each faction. The strategy when fighting changes completely from one to the other. Not to mention the evident love and care for details that this mode is made. Most factions are beautifully modeled and there is a lot of attention to the lore. Also it's amazing how they even took advantage of things like the pope to simulate Sauron keeping evil factions in line. You should definitely play it. I'm positive no one here is not going to disagree with me.

The best thing of the game is the balance between good and evil.
I was afraid for that cause with MTWII you always struggled with diplomacy..

It's a more then great MOD for the real LOTR fans!

What I really like about this mod and to answer some of your questions.....

    - It has it's own custom made campaign map of Middle Earth, It's very detailed with custom models on the map of important places you hear about in the books/films.
    - As Strannik has mentioned, Sauron acts as the Pope and calls invasions (instead of crusades/jihads) against the good, usually targeting the capitals of Rohan and Gondor, in my experiences anyway. It's awesome as a good faction struggling to develop a defence againist a huge combined force from Isengard, Mordor, Rhun (easterlings), Harad and the Orcs of the Misty Mountains.
    - It's not every man for himself, it's pretty much good versus evil, although if you want, you can attack your friends. In evil factions case, if you attack another evil faction, you betray Sauron, sort of like being excommunicated by the pope in MTW2.
    - The detail gone into almost all the factions is amazing, the quality of work is of a very high standard, each faction is unique and pretty well balanced with others, all with their own strengths and weaknesses.
    - It's just too fun to get that sense of desperation when fighting against hordes of Sauron's forces or invading the free people of Middle Earth with 1000s of Orcs, Trolls, and all that cool stuff.

Things I don't really like but still not much of a problem...

    - There are the simple medieval total war two settlements for each castle/city, it's a bit of an immersion blow but still, I hear it's very hard to do and there is so much in this mod anyway, it's no biggy.
    - Particularly Eriador and Dale aren't as well done in comparison to the other factions, but there are getting re-designed, so i'm not all that bothered.
Muh signature is so out of date all muh pictures died.
