Icon5 How can I make Navy Battles sink or swim style?

In other words, I'd like to have it such that the Navy battles are of an "all or nothing" style; If you lose a battle, then you loose your entire fleet. I hear Roma Surrectum does this but I cannot figure out how...It is just kind of annoying to have to constantly chase navies around and I am looking for a way around that. Anyone have any ideas?

Edit: Sorry mods, I think this belong somewhere in Miscellaneous. You may move it wherever you see fit.

Try increasing the naval units morale a good deal (30+).

    Moved.

I'm pretty sure you get those results in RS due to the increased movement rate. If the fleet can't move out of the movement area of the winning fleet it gets killed. I don't think all naval battles end with the complete destruction of the losing fleet.

Increased movement points, or do you mean to say decreased moovement points?

Increased movement points, RS greatly increases the default movement points over vanilla.

I considered this at one stage as too many pirate spawns to chase down. However, using cheats ahem 'reset character' I found it boring to completely win against my enemy every time. And even though you want a solution in one battle, for good or bad,it is enjoyable more to survive a battle and regroup&retrain rather than complete wipeout or victory. If my army during transport survives after an attack more happier for me...,your way aghhhh...bye bye. I use ancilliaries to boost my Admirals and hopefully traits and upgrades then pay back on these pirates etc...^_*

What I did was dramatically increase the attack values and morale of all ships while decreasing the defense and number of soldiers per vessel. I still sometimes get ships surviving a defeat, but not often.

    For example, my biremes:

    Code:
    type naval biremes
    dictionary naval_bireme ; Bireme
    category ship
    class            light
    voice_type Medium_1
    soldier roman_light_infantry, 6, 0, 1
    ship light warship
    attributes sea_faring
    formation 1.2, 1.8, 2.4, 2.4, 3, square
    stat_health 1, 0
    stat_pri 20, 0, no, 0, 0, melee, blade, slashing, none, 25 ,1
    stat_pri_attr no
    stat_sec 0, 0, no, 0, 0, no, no, no, none, 25 ,1
    stat_sec_attr no
    stat_pri_armour 0, 1, 0, flesh
    stat_sec_armour 0, 0, flesh
    stat_heat 0
    stat_ground 0, 0, 0, 0
    stat_mental 18, normal, untrained
    stat_charge_dist 30
    stat_fire_delay 0
    stat_food 60, 300
    stat_cost 1, 660, 100, 70, 100, 660
