BOOK 1 THE MEDITERREAN WARS: CHAPTER ONE: THE SIEGE OF DURAZZO
Venice, the city on the water. A little state.

1083, summer. The council of the nobles of Venice wanted that we invade Durazzo, a tiny village south of Ragusa. We were ready for the battle! For the Doge and Country!

"The enemies are really weak! And we, proud and corageous Venetians, can destroy them!!!!!" said our general and cousin...

    "Archers! Crossbowmen! Attack them!!!!"

The archers started fireing the enemy.

    The enemy general died...

Me, my cousin Bartolomeo and his guards started to flank the enemy.

"Chaaarge!!!!" I said. I was really excited

After a few minutes, the enemy army was totally crushed. Our troops were really happy!

    VICTORY!!!!!

We lost only 7 men, the enemy... lost all his troops!!!!!!!

Now the Most Seren Republic has got a new territory!

Our army was form by: 3 regiments of militia, 2 of archers, 1 of mercenary crossbowmen, 1 of mercenary lancers and 1 group of guards.
The enemy's army was form by: 1 regiment of archers and 2 of militia.
    It was a clear victory.

Hey Michael333, this looks like a good start. I've done a couple of Venetian campaigns so I've got a bit of a soft spot for them. Keep it up!

CHAPTER THREE: THE SIEGE OF THESSALONICA
After the battle, the army laid siege at the Byzantine city of Thessalonica. Then our reinforcements were ready to support us!

Near Corinth arrived an army commanded by Antonio Selvo and our spy watched the troop in the city.

After a few months me and Bartolomeo attacked Thessalonica. They were less then 100!

Our troops ran immediately to the walls with the ladders. And our ram was ready for open the gates.

Our ram opened the gates and the enemy general ran away!!!!!

The fight on the walls was really difficult.

One of our proud knights attacking the enemy general!

Bartolomeo dies!!!!!! This is not a good day! But after a few seconds the enemy general dies!

At the end, we won... but it wasn't a great victory. We lost a great general.

A byzantine fleet attacked our port of Iraklion!

    VICTORY!!!!!

BOOK ONE THE MEDITERREAN WARS: CHAPTER FOUR: THE BATTLE OF CORINTH
Bartolomeo Selvo was dead battle... against those fools of Byzantines. But was not the end of the world.
The Kingdom of Sicily sent one of their princess to ask us an alliance: we accepted...

General Antonio Selvo was ready to siege the Byzantine city of Corinth, but the Byzantine sent an army against him: a great, difficult battle will be started...

The enemy had a lot of horse archers. Antonio had a few type of infantry units: italian spear militia and archers.

The enemy had not only horse archers... but peasants!!!!

Our archers attacking the enemy forces!!

Our militia attacked the enemy cavalry.

    Our forces chase the enemy.

VICTORY IS OURS!!!!!!!!!! We revenged the death of Bartolomeo! But we lost 293 of 353 soldiers...
After the battle of Corinth, Antonio and his troops waited the reinforcements to siege the city.

omg im tired of venice AARs, they are just so repetitive. "chapter 2 taking of Durazzo" "chapter 3 siege of corinth" its just so predictable, IMHO you could try doing something special or different in some way, like, creating a crusader state and survivng there. Or maybe migrate to England, just to do something that is new. I guarantee it will be much better that way. Just think about it. My AAR got 60 positive votes, why? because its retardedly original and not a very used idea. Althogh its always your choice..

It's not that the idea is bad, but for me, as this is just pictures interspersed with a few comments "We did ..." "he did ..." "our troops were happy" it is not very interesting, i may as well have started a new venice campaign.

you just need to comment on stuff other than the battles, use less but better screens and write more.

    As I remember someone saying:

"I want to use my pictures to describe what i'm telling, not use my pictures to tell the story itself".
