    Yes. The place this is in is a good example of preserved archaeology, if that helps without giving too much away. Not a hugely famous site (not World Heritage or anything) but reasonably well known if you know the history of the country.

    The ruins remind me of Bettany Hughes' series "The Spartans" and in particular the helots - is it Argos?
