More hints. The town was one of the four capitals of the duchy of Guelders. It was the second most important town of the Dutch province of Limburg until the early 20th century.
The market square with the 15th century cathedral in the background. The 16th century town hall is on the right.
The small river that flows through the town. A larger river flows west of the town.
Roermond...is this where you live?
