Besides, New Jersey is pretty much one big city.

You'd be surprised at how much of New Jersey is suburbia and some parts actually kind of rural. We really only have three big cities -- Camden, Newark and Jersey City. There are some mid size ones (New Brunswick is an example).

Oh, and for clarity's sake my original "enter Holland here" clue was referring the Holland Tunnel which you enter through Jersey City.
