This time with no added hints, sugar or antioxidants:
"Non i titoli illustrano gli uomini, ma gli uomini i titoli." - Niccolo Machiavelli, Discorsi
"Du musst die Sterne und den Mond enthaupten, und am besten auch den Zar. Die Gestirne werden sich behaupten, aber wahrscheinlich nicht der Zar." - Einstürzende Neubauten, Weil, Weil, Weil

I can heartily recommend the Italian Wars mod by Aneirin.

Aww, I was hoping someone Italian would fall for it and think it's the Loggia dei Lanzi in Firenze (of which the Feldherrnhalle is a brazen copy), but you are absolutely correct.

    Your turn.

So I don't look in here for a day or two and you guys decide to suddenly become very active? Well, at least I feel good for recognising both Haut-Kœnigsbourg and Bourtange instantly, even Morticia's memorial rang a bell (although it'd be bad if it didn't given that I visited the place a few years ago).

    Thank you.

You should visit Fortress Ehrenbreitstein after Corona again, when the History Games are, from Romans to Prussians.^^

I knew this looked familiar, but I had the last one already, so there's just a hint:

Ruins of Burg Drachenfels in the Siebengebirge south of Cologne. Much of the red limestone for Cologne Cathedral was hewn from the quarry you can see below the ruin. I first didn't recognise it because last time I visited I was still a child and I rembered a lot more modern buildings around the ruin, which are probably hidden by clever perspective on the photo above. In fact I first thought it was somewhere south, due to so few coniferous trees being visible, but the house below on the right looks so distinctly German with its small, set-back windows, that that couldn't be.

It seemed familiar to me, but my first thought was Ehrenburg near Brodenbach on the Moselle, but the hills in the background didn't fit. And the Ruin is different there. ^^

Thanks the gods they demolished the old ugly concrete monstrosity from the 70's in the year 2011.

That's why I didn't recognise it. Good one for tearing that abomination down.

The Drachenfels abomination and how my Professor Isensee agitated against it in the public law lecture, is one of the few things i remember from this conservative hardliner.^^

Luckily I only visited it after the renovation.
I first wanted to use a pic which also had Schloss Drachenburg, the Rhine and Bonn in the background but figured that would be way too easy.

If that's not an Icelandic volcano, I'll eat my hat! The town of Heimaey with Eldfell in the background?

(Almost entirely) correct! It is Heimaey, though the volcano is Helgafell. The much younger (born 1973) Eldfell is less conic and to the left of Helgfall from this perspective.

Zu viele volcanoes in Iceland! Next one is easy, so, for some extra difficulty, just give me the name of the street as well:
