I'm going to go with Kusadasi in Turkey. That image gives me a Graeco-Turkish vibe.

Yeah I think Italy could as easily fit. Perhaps it is a historically significant place, because otherwise there's absolutely nothing remarkable about it. Doesn't look like a particularly attractive spot from this angle. In any case, I'd rule out the southern Mediterranean. Beach resorts there seem to come with palm trees. But ruling out half the med on such a bet is pretty desperate.

Greece has impressive 15,000 kilometers of shoreline due its unusual shape (one of the greatest numbers of all countries) and approximately 10,000 hotels. More than 9 out of 10 hotels seem to be white. This is quite a task if nothing distinctive can be pointed out in the picture.
One of my main mistakes was that in the pictures there was a marina in front of the building and I didn't realize that was on your picture as well
A couple of the shots from Google did indeed seem not quite matches, but others were on point. For me, the important thing was the geography, i.e., that land in the distance.
Anyway, here is the next one. It requires more of a private investigator approach, working with the clues and less with the actual image, and will either be way too easy, or just right. We'll see.
