Nope.
Here's another picture (same place, but from a different angle):
Freakin' Florina?
Is it a famous building?
Surprisingly, it's not Florida
I'm starting to feel desperate; Just tell me the city;s name, where the park is located.
1) In the first of July, the 100th anniversary of... sth will be celebrated, in the place depicted.
2) Τhe building is a tobacco warehouse.
3) The waters you see, according to one, controversial interpretation, are the remnants of a great lake, next to it the Atheneans suffered one of the most embarassing defeats.
4) It's the homeland of one notorious turkish general. Something expected, considering that during the Turkish Occupation the city was the administrative center of a sanjak, whose population's vast majority was muslim.

ρε το Δράμαλη λες?
Drama.
Drama! Actually the Saint Barbara's park in that city. Hint's explanation:
1) In Drama, they will celebrate the independence of 1913, after a short and harsh period of bulgarian rule.
2) Drama was the industrial center of tobacco production, till the European Union forbid it.
3) Near lake Prasias, a rather strong, athenean army was defeated by thracian peltasts. This battle was probably the inspiration for Iphikratis to reform the hoplite, athenean armyhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peltast.
4) The general was Dramali Pasha, who is known for his defeat at Dervenakia, during the Greek War of Independence, as correctly and greekly Stath's said.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mahmud_Dramali_Pasha

I edited my post just in time The method was a very sophisticated one of picking random places at the end of Swiss lakes on a map
It's all yours, Colossus.
My best guess would be the Pyrenees.
I find it too difficult
