    Default DAMN this mod!

    This mod is shockingly good and addictive. It is starting to give me feverish dreams. Thats a bad sign. Very wierd.

    Anyway, first started a campaign as Mordor - really got me hooked but there were some bugs and just wanted to try a different faction so now I am playing as High Elves and just loving it. playing on Vh/Vh.

    It almost seems like the game is heavily unbalanced to the point of actually being really good. Like the High elves combo of archery and melee is just owning everythig - yet the economy is bad to the point where I have to admit I used a little money cheat here and there. I mean... its REAL bad around turn 15-35. Surely theres something I could do better with town management and such.

    Couple questions to start:
    Whats up with using stakes as archers. Its like only rarely do I see this ability available - I dont get it.

    Are mercenary units removed from this mod? Doesnt seem like Generals can recruit them.

    Are merchants no longer recruitable to plop them on resources? Is this now just done automatically somehow?

    Anyway, loving the mod!

    no mercenaries, just ship if u want, the only "mercenary" are for dwarfs, the dale cavalary, but its only cuze they don't have any cavalary at all

    merchants simply don't exist, not much you could had done with them anyway, only a few resources, and if all (player and AI) could recruit merchants, it would be a mess, the stakes seem to be available only to 2nd tier archers and 3rd tier, not sure on this tho, some races might not have at all

    tis awesome, elvs are great. actually, as some evil factions you can recruit troops in case on invasion, and as either elven faction, you can recruit ents sometimes in fangorn. which, of course, are awesome.

    I played the high elves campaign and didn't have money problems at all! However everyone plays differently so you can't really so to be honest

    As high elves make sure you put your capital as one of your western cities in turn 1, save 3k per turn straight away.

    Grab the western coastal cities and get ports in them asap, for trade between each of your cities, then after you build up Elronds army and take a couple of the rich ootm regions with mines, you will have a ton of cash coming in

    I know good factions look to strong but it isn't when you fight all your battles automatic you will lose because elves suck automatic (look at the herioc battle signs always elves lose). And mordor is the strongest faction if all the factions are played by Ai.

    in my current campaing i was curious about the economy and i see mordor, me rohan, and all other factions quite similiar max 15k/turn

    i look at isengard A MAJOR jump to 90k!! and they have the usual regions, nothing special...
    harad has 54k but its understandable...i took all their coastal cities...guess their inside trade is far better....

    they do have some good full stack, more than i do i think, still they have an economoy BY FAR better than mine, no matter im almost done with mordor

    Depending on what campaign difficulty you're on, AI factions get huge income bonuses, so it's not necessarily their economy.
