Mordor Uruk Swordsmen need toning down. bad.

hello I did some custom battle tests, because I wanted to see how good the uruks are. on one squad on one squad combat, they decisively defeated my High elf two handed swords men, and, in the next test, slaughtered my high elf spear men both in shield wall and not in sheild wall. they cost less, have more men in a unit then the high elvs, and lose less. are Uruks supposed to own the Noldor so very much?

i guess so... saruman did very good army. uruks are really powerfull in close combat, but elf archers own them

I did not mean Isengard Urik-Hai I mean Mordor uruks.

normal ones, on freaking easy, slaughtered elvs.

Elves infranty isn't verry strong Elf infranty just block enemy infranty and let your archers kill them.

I think the game's balance the way it is now as described above is really good. Though it would be awesome if another balance could be reached where Elf infantry would be superior but even less in numbers, or more expensive or less recruitable ( my favourite )

The RR/RC mod makes the Elves super small but super strong so you may like that. Its all about archer spam man!

Yes they have the smallest units and very expensive but very tough. Silvan Elves have relatively larger and better archer units, whereas High Elves have better melee units.

Elves pretty much own everything in RC, but they do cost a ton and have very low recruitment pools. If you end up losing your unit, it takes forever to put together another army. I won't ever play a total war game without PB's submod again.

While I am a big fan of RC/RR in both this and Stainless Steel, I'm also a big fan of RTW mods like SPQR and Roma Surrectum with ZERO turn recruitment. On one hand with RR you have the realistic sense of good units taking a long time to develop, on the other hand with zero turn recruitment your armies are restricted purely by cash flow

Of course RTW also has the recruit-from-population, which means recruiting will slow your development stages, which fits nicely with zero turn recruitment

Both types of gameplay are quite good in their own way

and I started a campaign and repelled an army of rouphly 5000 goblin scum with 780 men. awesome. I will try RC.

they are made to look poor, but if u wer ein bankrupt state ur units will say bye bye to you, while the AI units just stay there and kick ur ass
