I've been playing BC 2.02 for kingdoms as of late, but I noticed something. It does not include the nifty AOR revisions from normal 2.02... What's the problem? Has anyone else expirienced this? Is there a way to fix this? Thanks![]()

RTR RULES!!!!
Tell us which the changes are from 2.01 to 2.02 so we can help you.
Yeah, what do you mean? What's the problem? How is it manifesting?
Ah, well. You know how on original 2.00 or 2.01, the way aor worked is you have that either have your factions Core Territories or AOR regions. 2.02 had those border territories like this link showed
http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=277572
Well 2.02 Kingdoms Version does not feature the whole new border regions on it. It's currently like 2.00 or 2.01. For instnce as the ERE, I can only build AOR units from Trebizond... Is that understandable? Thanks for the help...
RTR RULES!!!!
You mean: you can recruit there only local troops and no faction-specific troops, like it was in M2TW BC? The same in my BC KE. Something is messed up?
EDIT: The reason of this problem was, of course, it couldn't be otherwise, map.rwm file, which should have been deleted - it's located in Medieval II Total War\mods\broken_crescent_kingdoms\data\world\maps\base folder. After that you have to restart computer, and campaign.
So, there is no problem with BC 2.02 Kingdoms AOR.

RTR RULES!!!!
I've built my own mods, so I'm know how it's supposed to work. That said, I use Windows 2000 Pro and have no path similar to what you posted above. There Application Data folders, but none that have any relation to SEGA.
Could you please send me your EDB so I could compare it with the one I have? Or is there some list of which units are supposed to be AoR'd with which factions so I can check it myself?
I did a little EDB digging and I'd guess it works with a lot of hidden_resources such "unclaimed_region", "faction_borders" etc. with various ownership of units tied into the EDU. I appreciate your help. Thanks.

I'm almost sure that BC Kingdoms EDB is not a proper EDB, I mean, it's not BC 2.02 EDB. I'm using modified version of it, so as soon as I've installed BC Kingdoms, I placed there my modified file along with deleting map.rwm. That's why it seemed that Ceasar Gubius' problem was linked with map.rwm. Check it, SSJPabs, to see if I'm right.![]()
Not for me. I replaced my file with yours. But it was the same size (so probably the same file). Deleted map.rwm, restarted the computer and started a new game. Nothing. No change at all. The thing is running off the Kingdoms disk in my computer and says 2.02 in the corner.
I downloaded the file from this link.
Maybe if I un-install and re-install. I am pretty close to the breaking point here. There should be no reason I am not able to recruit any units at all from Nicosia as the ERE.

Um, you misunderstood me, because I've wrongly explained, what is going on with the EDB.
EDB from BC 2.02 M2TW version has a size of 1 260kB and a date of 17.07.2009.
But EDB from BC 2.02 Kingdoms Edition is 878 kB big and has a date of 04.07.2009 - it is a version of EDB from BC 2.0!
So, definitely something is wrong here.![]()
So the Kingdoms EDB in the file is missing stuff that is in M2 EDB because it's a smaller file size. And you are using the right file, but forgot because you modified the original file when you first started with 2.02. Gotcha. Good to know I am not crazy. Thanks again. Would just dragging and dropping the M2 EDB into that file work you think?

I guess it would, since my works. Besides, like I said, I just copied modified EDB from BC M2TW "Edition" to BC KE.
I had the same problem, then I applied the 2.02 patch for M2TW version BC to the Kingdoms version BC. That solved the problem for me.
Good to hear that, I guess we can say about confirmed problem? SSJPabs, what say you?
Confirmed problem. I am also going to download the M2 2.02 patch, and see what happens.
FIXED.
So I guess the download for BC Kingdoms needs to be updated to say that yes you DO need to download the 2.02 patch. Also note: I was unable to figure out which directory to install the patch into for it to work. I ended up dragging and dropping the "data" folder that was created into the BC Kingdoms data folder. So might want to point that out to.
Anyhow, glad that's over!

OK. I've send PM to Socal_infidel, so maybe he will find some time to upload whole package with proper files. I haven't checked, if the issue concerns only EDB, so, yes, I think it is good idea to install BC 2.02 patch.
ok i had the same problem and copying the file from the 2.02 patch into the BC kingdoms folder worked for the AOR. but the thread with the patch mentions some other files, besides the map.rwm, which should have been deleted by the installer and since i (we?) didn't run the patcher dirctly in the BC kingdoms folder they wouldn't get deleted.
here's the file list:
\broken_crescent\data\text\expanded.txt.strings.bin
\broken_crescent\data\text\export_units.txt.strings.bin
\broken_crescent\data\text\quotes.txt.strings.bin
\broken_crescent\data\text\campaign_descriptions.txt.strings.bin
\broken_crescent\data\text\names.txt.strings.bin
\broken_crescent\data\text\export_buildings.txt.strings.bin
\broken_crescent\data\world\maps\base\map.rwm
\broken_crescent\data\sounds\events.dat
\broken_crescent\data\sounds\events.idx
i've deleted those files and the game seems to run fine after that. but i haven't really played yet.
You're right. I totally forgot about deleting those files.![]()
just copying the 2.02 patch into the BC kingdom folder doesn't work completly. it fixes the AoR zones but i loose the burning oil. this probably happens because the EDB gets overwritten. and maybe this isn't the only thing that gets lost. did anybody send the author of BC kingdoms a message yet?
Yes, I've written to him, but only about the issue of wrong EDB. I guess Socal Infidel will check the package anyway, as he has to upload everything packed in the new set. So, you could write to him about your new findings.
