    Default Money reduction bug?

    So to make a long story short, I am playing as Aragon and control about 60% of Iberia,all of North Africa and 3 citys in the holy land. It seems that I am losing money everyturn yet in the financial scroll it says I am gaining 5k a turn. I then went to see the entire map via toggle_fow and the first command that popped up was add_money -12000. WTF! I never typed that and I have seen no mention of that happening. What is causing this and how can I fix it?

    Some script in your campaign file - without knowing what submod/version you are using I cant tell you more.
    Its not a bug, unless you happen to have the nice pirate event a few turns back. You'll sometimes see
    commands like set season winter or give_trait as well these are all due to scripts using the console

    Congrantulations, you have the Pirate Bug!
    Playing SS 6.1, right? At some point, you got an event, regarding Pirates nearby, getting the choice to spend 5000 to send a fleet after them, or do nothing, with a chance of them sticking around. Well, you declined that offer, and now you'll loose 12.000 florins every single turn for the rest of your campaign..

    It can be fixed, ofcourse, but it's not savegame compatible. Have a look at the expanded FAQ, that explains how.

    Damn pirates! Well I am just going to counter it with my own console command! add_money 12001! Haha suck it pirates!

    Default -5000 at the start of each turn

    how do i stop the scripts from doing this, the console says -5000 as the last command at the start of every go, and this is really annoying,
    i just add it back on, but how do i stop it doing this?? this is what ruined my russian campaign because i was perinatal in debt
    so what caused this and how do i stop it

    it is in another post, its about some pirates that you didnt want to catch, now they steal that money every ing turn @@, and the fix is not savegame compatible, so you will have to keep doing that :/.

    yeah i remember on the russian one, that same thing happened, so this time, i made sure to click "yes" for dealing with the pirates,
    so is it a bug? and will it stop if it happenes enough times/ the treasury gets far enough in to the minus

    It will most likely not stop to decrease. If you just recently had the event I'd suggest a reload and staying below 75k treasury amount.

    IIRC this problem was with the 6.1 version of SS

    Try the SS 6.2 patch RC4

    Seeing as there is already a recent topic on this, I'm gonna merge these threads.

    And please do a search before posting a new topic. Or at the very least look down the first page a bit to where the other thread was

    dam, it only takes of 5000 per turn on me, was your 12000 florins a one off penalty?

    The pirat event only fires if you have more than 75k.
    So if you just recently got over that treasury amount I'd suggest relaoding and staying under (you should spend that cash like mad anyways )
