Immigrants reclaim Rosengård. Throws out leftwing "antifacists" and "antiracists" organising a street party/riot in the area

AFA activists trying to organize a "Reclaim Rosengård" street festival suffered a major set back saturday evening. The festival was supposed to focus on the messages "Cops out of Rosengård", "lower rent and renovation of apartments" and "self ruling free youth recreation centers".

Rosengård have thanks to 24 hour patrolling of the police returned to a somewhat normal way of life after years of car fires and riots (article). AFA, an extreme leftwing anti racist/facist organisation have deemed this policial control of Rosengård as an example of racism fueled oppression against the immigrants living in Rosengård. In support of the people of Rosengård, AFA therefore organized a Reclaim Rosengård street festival. Earlier this year, the Reclaim Västra hamnen street festival was blocked from the upperclass area of Västra Hamnen. A citizen guard had been formed to protect the area against the left wing "festival" that most likely (like usual) would turn into a violent riot. That time the police stopped the festival from approaching the area out of fear for violent clashes between the citizen guard and the activists.

This time the Police did not have time to blockade the left wing activists. A swift and sudden attack from the Rosengårders themselves forced the leftwing activists to retreat and hide in a nearby McDonalds (source in Swedish google translate cannot manage it). The attackers where allegedly lead by three middle aged men. A reporter working for the tabloid Aftonbladet spoke with one of the leaders, Abu Hadid after the initial clash

-We do not want any drinking upper class kids to speak for us against our will. They do not have anything here to do. He told the reporter.

-This is terrible she said. It have been calm here for several weeks. The police have been here all the time and given us protection. No burnt cars and containers. I have been able to walk home safely in the nights.

A street festival held in the Rosengård district of Malmö deteriorated into a fight on Saturday evening as activists were forced out by area residents.

The “Reclaim Rosengård” street festival, which was conceived as a protest against the social conditions in Rosengård, didn’t exactly go according to organizers’ plans. The event was supposed to get underway at 8pm on Saturday, but after about 15 minutes the activists who had gathered to participate were pushed out by Rosengård residents.

The activists' floats with music were also barred from entering the predominantly immigrant neighbourhood.

“There were quite a few who had gathered, not only young people, but also a lot of parents. I think that patience has run out among the residents of Rosengård,” said municipal district representative Inger Leite to the TT news agency.

According to Leite, the Rosengård residents had made it clear previously that they didn’t want people to feel they had the right to come and speak to the residents who live there.

Instead, the activists gathered in front of a nearby petrol station where they threw stones, bottled, and burning objects at police cars.

By 2am Sunday morning, the disturbances remained in full swing. Several small fires were burning, including a hedge near the petrol station which had also had its windows broken.

Thirty minutes later, most of those involved had gone home and the situation had calmed down.

Other than a few small fires and the damage to the petrol station, no other serious incidents were reported, according to Skåne police spokesperson Lars-Håkan Lindholm.

No one was injured during the night’s disturbance and no arrests have been made.

Personally I think this is great news. It show that the police is making an effort to help the people in Rosengård and that the vast majority of them are appreciating it. I also think it is very nice to find that a middleaged man in Rosengård share exactly my view of AFA.

Good news that people finally stand up against those hooligan brats. Though, it's unfortunate that it has to be the immigrants that are taking action, not the natives themselves. But atleast the Swedish media can't call those who drove the lefties out racists since they're immigrants.

Malmö is a bad place for them. Two months ago the white upperclass people in Västra Hamnen also stopped them. That time the police managed to get between the activists and the citizen guard. This time the activists faced a more agressive opponent who took them by surprise.

That's news to me, that they're unwelcome there. And that other article about Västra Hamnen wasen't on the Metro webbsite unfortunately, more good news i suppose. The civilians did a better job than the police in both cases, that's a bit sad.

A clear case of complete misunderstanding by both sides, OK the streets are safer during the evenings but having cops all around at all times can be somewhat uncomfortable especially for young people.

Maybe an agreement can be reached, give them security but do not 'threaten' their liberties. However if the lefty jerks that were protesting were doing it in the name of the whole town they deserve their asses kicked.

Its left-wing extremists, not immigrants, who often cause most of the problems in Rosengård. Clearly they have had enough, so it's good to see the people of Rosengård stepping up against these extremists.

That is sadly not true. The work of the police would be ridicously easy if they just had to look for the white kids in their late teens/early 20s when trying to find their attackers. The only previous instance where AFA have been a major factor was when they restarted the riots in december last year. Otherwise they haven't acted much in Rosengård, they would just get beaten up!
