Truly awesome! Are those muslim emblems historical? I haven't seen anything like that before.

I can't comment on where Pacco found the inspiration for these particular shields, but geometric and floral designs are typical of Islamic art, particularly tilework dating back as far as the early Caliphate:

Yes I know, until now I thought these typical flower ornaments were only used for decorating buildings and furniture, also in Broken Crescent I saw shield decorations like the first two ones held in geometric design, which seem to be from eastern persia. Anyway, the best shields ever seen in a mod, particulary with this amazing "worn-out" surface!

There is evidence of these types of designs being used on shields in Medieval Persian miniature paintings. Also later Ottoman, Persian, and Mamluk metal shields had very intricate designs which you may have seen. I don't know if any of the leather faces of earlier Muslim shields have survived, but I doubt it. Several of the designs that you see in Osprey publications on Muslim shields are actually taken from medieval dishes and bowls.

Really really nice shields and patterns.

I wonder one thing myself now ... could we see armour parts and weapons done in similar fashion? (what means they are not all that shiny and new, but some varied damage can be seen).

    Maybe in another thread.
And also we are using weapons/textures from other mods (generally from Rusichi mod) - its not our work.
Its hard to show armour like shields... you will see armours and weapons in our previews.
