    Default HE starting problem

When starting a HE campaign I get the mission to capture the rebel town just west of rivendell. I proceed and take it on turn 3. In Eriador's third turn they attack me even though they are allied with the HE.

Has anyone else been bothered with this? And how to counter it except from not taking the town.

Last campaign this incident slowed down my advance towards the misty mountains and in a second phase Isengard so badly I was too late and All of Rohan was overrun by Isengard and Mordor. Which led my campaign into me against everyone which isn't really enjoyable, I have to fight so many battles per turn it's not fun anymore.

So because the AI attacks it's ally my HE campaign is messed up. So if anyone knows how to get the town without attacking eriador please

    Thanks

Eriador are not able to attack you as long as they are allied to you

Well call me bananas but my AI is doing this to me. One possible explanation I can come up with is Eriador is already attacking this town from more then one turn's march away and I snoop it away from them. But their standing order is still to attack this town but they don't know I'm in it. I guess I can try to post a few units outside of the town after I take it. If my theory is correct the eriador army will be interrupted by my army and they will cease their attempts to now take this friendly town.

    My version is 1.2

And they keep doing it, wether I block their initial path or not.

This has happened to me too....Even when I besieged the town they attacked me and took it...(it seems like they really want that town)

You could grab the town and send a diplomat to offer them the town in exchange for some cash.

OR.....you´ll wait for some turns and get more money, after that you can kill eriador fighting only 3 battles and defeating them in 1 turn

ok this is how I did it:
First of all get enough money to buy all their cities (except their capital and two other, they wont let the last two go even how much you offer them) then build 3 full stacks and put a general with a night battle trait in each one of them, it should also be a catapult in each one. then march up and to their settlements and break the alliance with them, then ATTACK
Using this tactic I destroyed them without fighting the 15 full stacks that they had in the field
This recuires about 10000 and that eriador is bankrupt
